Richard is a Partner of Tottle Partners and was admitted to practice in Western Australia in 1989.
Richard specialises in engineering, construction and infrastructure matters, with prior experience in the following areas:
The planning, development, negotiation and implementation of all forms of standard contracts, and relationship based contracts including PPP contracts, alliance and partnering type contracts and ECI type contracts
The provision of project structuring and risk strategy advice necessary to properly align the choice of contracts (and the content of the contract terms) with the commercial objectives and development requirements for projects
Security of payment related adjudications under the Construction Contracts Act in Western Australia and under various security of payment legislation in other States and Territories
Dispute resolution of contract claims, through mediation, arbitration and court processes, including international arbitrations

Lee was admitted to practice in 2000 and following several years working with a local boutique firm, joined Tottle Partners in 2004. He became a partner of the firm in July 2011.
Lee specialises in onshore and offshore engineering, construction and infrastructure matters, with experience in the following areas:
Drafting and negotiation of tenders
Drafting, negotiation and implementation of numerous forms of contracts including construct only, design and construct, goods supply, services, consultancy, EPC, EPCM and various relationship types of contracts, including the preparation of suites of contracts
Project advisory matters, including claims management
Dispute resolution including litigation in the Supreme, Federal and District Courts, mediation, expert determination, arbitration and adjudication under security of payment legislation in various Australian jurisdictions

Yin was admitted to practice in 1992 and has been a partner of Tottle Partners since 2010.
Her practice focuses on complex litigation and advises corporate and individual clients on a wide range of general commercial disputes involving:

Since 2005, Yin has acted for the Veterinary Practice Board of Western Australia in providing general advice and in conducting disciplinary proceedings in the State Administrative Tribunal against registered veterinary surgeons. She also regularly advises interstate and overseas law firms on the practice and procedures relating to the conduct of Court proceedings in Western Australia.
Yin speaks Mandarin and various Chinese dialects.
Yin has been repeatedly recognised in Doyle’s Guide as a leading and recommended litigation and dispute resolution lawyer in Western Australia and Australia.
Yin Fang

Andrew was admitted to practice in 2002 and, after several years working as an Associate at Lavan Legal, joined Tottle Partners in 2010. Andrew became a partner of the firm in 2016.
Andrew specialises in insurance litigation matters, predominantly acting for insurers.
Over the years he has gained extensive experience acting initially for plaintiffs and later for public and private defendant insurers in a range of personal injury and professional indemnity related insurance matters in the areas of:
Public liability
Professional indemnity
Compulsory third party insurance
Andrew has more recently confined his practice to the defence of motor vehicle personal injury related claims. He has extensive experience negotiating settlement of claims on behalf of insurers ranging from minor to catastrophic injury and fatal accident claims.
Andrew has acted as instructing solicitor in a number of trials in the District Court and appeals in the Supreme Court of Western Australia. He has appeared on behalf of insurers on numerous occasions in the District and Supreme Courts in addition to various tribunals.
Each year since 2019 Andrew has been identified by clients and peers in the Doyle’s Guide as a recommended and leading defendant CTP and motor vehicle insurance lawyer in Western Australia.

Amanda graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Laws. She began working with Tottle Partners in 2009. She was admitted to practice in Western Australia in September 2010 and the Commonwealth Courts in October 2010.
Amanda specialises in construction and engineering matters with a particular focus on dispute resolution, risk strategy and claims management advice.
Amanda’s dispute resolution and advisory services include project advisory, risk strategy and claims management advice. Her dispute resolution experience includes litigation in the Federal, Supreme and District Courts, private and court facilitated mediations, domestic and international arbitrations and adjudication under the Construction Contracts Act (WA). Amanda was recognised as a Rising Star in Construction Law in the 2023 Doyle's Guide for Western Australia. Amanda is a member of the Law Council of Australia and Law Society of Western Australia joint Construction and Infrastructure Law Committee.
Amanda Sinclair

Caroline graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2008 with a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and Bachelor of Arts (French). She started her career with a national law firm and was admitted to practice in December 2009, before joining Tottle Partners in 2010.
Caroline acts mainly on building and construction, oil and gas, mining and resources, insolvency related and general commercial matters. She regularly represents clients in the Magistrates, District and Supreme Courts in Western Australia as well as the Federal Court and the Takeovers Panel. Caroline also has experience in both private and court-ordered mediations and other dispute resolution processes.
Her clients include individuals, Australian private and listed companies and international enterprises.

Kazia is a Special Counsel at Tottle Partners, specialising in commercial litigation with a focus on construction and engineering disputes.
With over 15 years’ experience, Kazia has acted for commercial clients in a range of forums including mediations, arbitrations, adjudications, the Building Commission, the State Administrative Tribunal, the Federal Court and the District and Supreme Courts of NSW and WA, across a variety of matters including contract, tort, property, consumer and competition law, intellectual property and insolvency. Her particular specialty is in construction and engineering matters, including dispute resolution of contract claims and adjudications under security of payment legislation.

Benn graduated from the University of Notre Dame Australia in 2012 with a Bachelor of Laws. He started his career with a large Western Australian firm, before moving onto an UK-based international firm. Benn joined Tottle Partners in 2019.
Benn specialises in construction law and regularly acts on behalf of local and global contractors in the infrastructure, energy and resources sectors, providing advisory and dispute resolution services. Benn has acted for and appeared on behalf of clients in many State and Federal jurisdictions, domestic and international arbitrations.
Before working in law, Benn worked at a Big 4 Australian bank in its business banking division where he regularly conducted risk assessments for the client base to mitigate financial loss.

Jacqui joined Tottle Partners in 2017, after graduating from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts in 2008 and being admitted to practice in 2009.
Jacqui has worked in insurance law for the past 10 years, specialising in defending personal injury claims made pursuant to the Motor Vehicle (Third Party Insurance) Act.

Clare graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2014 with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts (Political Science). In 2015, Clare worked as the Research Associate to the Hon. Justice McLure, then President of the Court of Appeal, Supreme Court of Western Australia. She joined the firm in February 2016 and was admitted to practice in May 2016.
Clare enjoys a diverse practice and has experience in a range of dispute resolution and commercial matters, including defamation, intellectual property, insolvency, contractual disputes and medical negligence claims. She also acts for the Veterinary Practice Board of Western Australia and regularly conducts disciplinary proceedings in the State Administrative Tribunal against registered veterinary surgeons.
Clare has a particular interest in water law and is currently undertaking a Master of Philosophy degree part-time at the University of Western Australia, with her research focusing on water law reform.

Rebecca was admitted to practice in Western Australia in 2021 and the High Court in 2022. Rebecca joined the Insurance Team at Tottle Partners in June 2022. Rebecca now practices in insurance litigation matters, predominately acting for insurers.
Rebecca is a dual qualified lawyer having been admitted as a barrister in the UK in 2004. Over the years she has specialised in Risk Management, Serious Crime, White Collar Crime and Health and Safety matters, frequently being briefed at trial for the defence.
Rebecca moved to Australia in 2016 and completed her Juris Doctorate in Sydney. During this time, she specialised in Risk Management and Negligence representing the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) throughout Asia Pacific.

Parveen was admitted to practice in Western Australia in December 2019 and joined Tottle Partners in January 2021.
Parveen graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2018 with a Juris Doctor degree, having previously completed a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Law and Society, and Media and Communications in 2015.
Before joining Tottle Partners, Parveen spent a year as a Graduate at an international law firm in the Construction team. She also worked at a multi-disciplinary Construction and Project Management consultancy company, which included a secondment to a mining company.
Parveen has experience:
Drafting adjudication applications;
Drafting expert determination submissions;
Reviewing construction/commercial contracts and providing advice around key contractual risks;
Drafting/adapting construction contracts to suit clients’ specific needs; and
Assisting with winding up applications in the Supreme Court of Western Australia.
Parveen is a member of the Law Society of Western Australia, Society of Construction Law Australia and the National Association of Women in Construction (WA).

Evan is a solicitor at Tottle Partners. He joined the firm in February 2020 and was admitted to practice in Western Australia in November 2018 and to the High Court in 2021.
Evan graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2017 with a Juris Doctor, having previously completed a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society in 2014. He was a member of the prestigious Dean’s List, ranking ninth in his cohort, having been awarded six subject prizes over the course of his studies. He was also a student editor of the University of Western Australia Law Review and a sessional tutor of undergraduate law students in the Business Law and Law and Society majors.
From 2018 to 2019, Evan worked as the Research Associate/Orderly and Associate to the Hon. Justice Mitchell of the Court of Appeal, Supreme Court of Western Australia. In this position, Evan was exposed to a broad variety of civil and criminal matters, including large scale litigation involving complex legal issues. He also gained practical experience in appellate court procedures.
Since commencing at Tottle Partners, Evan has assisted in a broad variety of litigious, commercial and property matters including:
Assisting with the conduct of medico-legal matters including proceedings brought by the Medical Board of Australia in the State Administrative Tribunal, coronial inquests and proceedings defended by medical defence insurers.
General commercial claims, including those arising in relation to allegations of breach of fiduciary duty, breach of confidence, promissory estoppel, unconscionable conduct and proceedings concerning the Australian Consumer Law.
General insolvency matters including personal insolvency.
General contractual disputes and advice.
Property disputes and advice including in relation to compensation claims for the compulsory acquisition of land.
Acting for defendants to prosecutions brought by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (including those referred to the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions).
Evan Taylor

Dimitra graduated from Murdoch University with a Bachelor of Laws (with distinction) in 2022. During her studies, she also worked at the Kulbardi Aboriginal Centre as a tutor for Indigenous Australian law students.
Prior to joining Tottle Partners in 2023, Dimitra worked as an associate to the Honourable Justice Kenneth Martin at the Supreme Court of Western Australia. In this position, Dimitra worked exclusively in commercial litigation, particularly in large-scale mining and resources litigation. Dimitra was also regularly exposed to the Supreme Court of Western Australia’s Arbitration List.
Since commencing at Tottle Partners, Dimitra has assisted in construction and engineering matters.

Rhea commenced as the firms Practice Manager in 2018 and is responsible for the day to day management of the firm.
With over 10 years experience working within the legal industry both in Perth and Sydney, Rhea’s role encompasses management of general practice operations, HR and recruitment, IT, business development and policy and procedure development and implementation.
Rhea aims to provide staff with a respectful and positive working environment, and is always looking at ways to improve firm technologies and processes.

Sophie joined Tottle Partners in January 2024 after graduating from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Politics and International Relations.
During her studies, Sophie worked as a paralegal in multiple boutique law firms on matters across a wide range of practice areas including commercial matters, civil litigation, family law and contested wills and estates matters.
Since commencing at Tottle Partners, Sophie has assisted Stephen Penrose with corporate and commercial litigation matters. Sophie will be admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in late 2024.
